Summer has flown by in a flash, but our residents and carers across both Marchmont and Wilby House can feel satisfied knowing they created plenty of great memories across the summer holidays of 2021.

We were moved and humbled earlier this month to have had a testimonial sent by the daughter of one of our late residents to the Care Inspectorate on our behalf. Nancy’s father James had been a resident with us since 2018 and had made a great impression on our staff with his personality, wit, and fantastic stories.

While the Scottish Government has laid out steps to relax travel restrictions, exercise and recreation, the guidance for care homes remains unchanged at this time. Our residents include some of the most vulnerable groups in this crisis and, as difficult as this separation is, we know that their safety is at the forefront of your mind too.

At Beechwood Care we are doing everything we can to keep up to date with government guidance in relation to the current Covid-19 pandemic. Our utmost priority is to ensure our clients are safe, happy and cared for. We are also taking the health and safety of our staff very seriously during these times. We closed our doors to all non-essential business on 11th March 2020, and have since increased these measures by limiting non-essential staff hours within each of our care homes.
